How to set up customer pricing using the portal

The PetroDataSync platform integrates with several customer price quote integrations. This article is specifically about adding and managing customer pricing directly in the portal.

  • Supplier Pricing - cost or index prices from suppliers or other sources
  • Customer Prices - prices from generated price quotes (from PDS, backoffice, or other integration sources)
  • Price Setup - allows you to customize and enrich supplier, terminal, contract, product, or other related information

Customer Price Setup

Go to Users > Customers > Customer Price Setup to manage customer pricing configurations

Click Options > Add Pricing or click the Add Pricing button at the top of the screen

  • Enter the applicable pricing details. The Tools section will calculate the prices based on the information entered and display the details for review.
  • If multiple products are added, it will calculate and allow you to preview the details for the first record only.
  • Once pricing records are added, the price quotes will be automatically generated the next time applicable rack prices are processed. This typically happens in the evening when price changes begin to process.
  • You can also generate customer price quotes manually by going to Prices > Customer Pricing.
    • When the search modal appears, simply select the applicable criteria or leave defaults then check the "Generate Prices" checkbox.
    • This will generate customer price quotes on demand.
    • Theses price quotes will not be sent initially, but you can send by clicking Options > Send Prices from the Customer Pricing screen once prices are generated or previewed.
      • Only prices that have not already been sent will be sent and will follow the rules as configured for the portal environment.
