How to connect a OPW ProGauge

(You will not be able to access the protocols/serial port setup via the touchscreen. You will need a laptop or it will need to be connected to your back office computer)


Setting up your Laptop/PC to communicate with the OPW ProGauge


  1. Click Change adapter settings in the left-side panel
  2. Right-click Local Area Connections
  3. Select Properties from the menu
  4. Select to highlight Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) on the list in the pop-up
  5. Click Properties
  6. Set the IP address: 192.168.200.15 , subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (example of tank monitor below)
  7. Click OK

Accessing the OPW Web Configuration


(When shipped from the factory, the console will always have a static IP address 192.168.0.10. The web connection is established on port 3000. To connect to the console on software version 4.19.9 or higher, you must type in your browser, https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3000 On versions 4.19.8 or older you must type in your browser http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3000)


Enter the web address to the OPW ProGauge in your browser

  1. Under Language selection, select the radio button adjacent to the language that will be used for the configuration
  2. Click Enter
  3. The Login page will come into view.

  1. Select the Admin user type from the drop-down.
  2. Enter the Admin user Password: ADMIN-LX4 (This is the default, It could have been changed).
  3. Push the Login button to log in to the console with the selected Admin user type.

How to retrieve/edit Protocol settings

  1. Select System Settings
  2. Select Protocol
  3. Select Serial
  4. Select Gilbarco from Protocol dropdown
  5. Select US from Units dropdown
  6. Select 1 from Port dropdown
  7. Select 9600 from Baud rate dropdown
  8. Select None from Parity dropdown
  9. Select 8 from Data bit dropdown
  10. Select 1 from Stop bit dropdown
  11. Select Save (After changes have been made)
  12. Select Apply settings to console (After settings have been saved)


Connecting the PDS hardware to the OPW ProGauge


1. Connect the appropriate connector/adapter to the ATG's serial port

  • (Connect the gray 7-pinDB9 male adapter to serial port)

2. Connect the black DB9 female adapter into the serial port on the PDS hardware device.

3. Connect the included ethernet cable to each adapter.

4. Contact us to confirm communication settings and connectivity.
