How to connect a OMNTEC OEL8000II

How to retrieve/edit the communication settings


  1. Press the triangle under SETUP
  2. Enter the security code (Default is 000000,but this could have been changed)
  3. Press the triangle under Enter

  1. Press the triangle under MORE until you COMM
  2. Press the triangle under COMM

  1. Press the triangle under SERIAL
  2. Press the triangle under COM2

  1. Press the triangle under SETUP
  2. Set the comm settings
  • Baud rate: 1200
  • Parity: ODD
  • Data bits: 7

Connecting the PDS hardware to the Omntec OEL8000II


1. Connect the appropriate connector/adapter to the ATG's serial port

  • (Connect the gray 7-pinDB9 male adapter to serial port)

2. Connect the black DB9 female adapter into the serial port on the PDS hardware device.

3. Connect the included ethernet cable to each adapter.

4. Contact us to confirm communication settings and connectivity.
