How to connect a OPW EECO

Enter System Setup

(Start at the Time/System Activated display)


  • Press [CHANGE] [SETUP].
  • Press [XXXXX] (access code) [ENTER]. 
  • This is the entry display to set up Tank Level Monitor
  • Each sub-menu section is identified in the center column with a code 
  • General Site setup : GS 1 
  • Local Port , press [NEXT] 
  • Select Protocol [CHANGE]. Choose RS232, PLLD Interface, Gas boy PC or Gasboy Site Controller. 
  • Press [ENTER] 
  • Select 7 or 8 Data Bits and 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600 Baud (select the same settings as the communicating device).
  • Press [NEXT], select 1 or 2 Stop Bits and None, Even, or Odd Parity (select the same settings as the communicating device).
  • Press [NEXT], select Yes or No. If Yes, input a 6 digit code that must precede every command that comes from the communicating device.

Recommended Comm Settings


Protocol : RS232

Data Bits:7

Baud Rate: 1200

Stop Bits:1

Require Code: NO


Connecting the PDS hardware to the OPW


  1. Connect the appropriate adapter to the ATG's serial port

(The spare DB9 female adapter will need to be pinned out correctly . See below)

  1. Connect the black DB9 female adapter into the serial port on the PDS hardware device
  2. Plug in the power cord to an available outlet
  3. Contact us to confirm communication settings and connectivity
